Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - SOE | 首席財務官-国企 (HK $1M + bonus)

Background

This role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial strategy, strengthening governance frameworks, and driving sustainable business growth. The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to senior management, ensuring financial discipline, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to define and execute corporate strategy. Provide financial insights and forward-looking analysis to support key business decisions, investments, and growth initiatives.

• Oversee all aspects of the finance function, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, treasury, capital allocation, accounting, and tax. Ensure efficient resource deployment and continuous improvement of financial performance.

• Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Establish robust financial metrics and KPIs to track business performance and support decision-making.

• Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations. Strengthen internal controls, audit processes, and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure operational integrity.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks. Develop proactive risk management strategies to support business resilience and continuity.

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development within the function.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, ACCA, or CMA are strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role. Candidates trained in Big 4 with is highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, taxation, and corporate governance practices.

• Fully trilingual in Mandarin, Cantonese & English.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial technologies, with a track record of improving financial processes and systems.

• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive strategic initiatives.
