About the School
HARKE has partnered with a co-educational Catholic Day and Boarding School in regional NSW, educating more than 900 students across Years 7-12, including approximately 150 boarders from rural, regional and remote communities. Grounded in the Marist tradition, the College has a strong Catholic ethos and established boarding program, providing educators with the opportunity to contribute to a close regional community where faith, learning and pastoral care are central to school life.
About the Position
This full-time permanent position combines classroom teaching with leadership of the Religious Education Faculty under a 3-year leadership contract. The successful educator will teach Religious Education across Years 7-12 while leading and supporting the faculty, mentoring RE teachers, allocating responsibilities and maintaining consistent teaching standards. The role would suit an experienced Religious Education teacher who can provide clear faculty leadership while actively contributing to the Catholic and Marist life of the College.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver Religious Education across Years 7-12 while supporting high-quality curriculum delivery throughout the faculty.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care within a positive, faith-centred learning environment.

Communicate clearly with students, families, faculty members and College leadership regarding learning, progress and faculty priorities.

Mentor and support Religious Education teachers, allocate responsibilities and promote consistent teaching and assessment practices.

Provide effective faculty leadership while contributing to the co-curricular, pastoral and faith life of the College.
Requirements

Religious Education: Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level and the capacity to lead and support an RE Faculty.

Faith Alignment: Applicants must demonstrate strong alignment with the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College.

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain accreditation with NESA.

Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential for this role.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
Salary and Relocation
The successful applicant will receive a salary of $92,000 - $133,000, dependent on experience, plus the applicable leadership allowance.
Relocation assistance may be available, including potential support with accommodation and moving costs. Any relocation support will be discussed following interview.
