Maintenance Fitter / Boilermaker

We are searching for a permanent qualified Maintenance Fitter with bolier-maker skills to join our client's maintenance team in the northern Midlands.
 
This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping production equipment operating reliably through preventative maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and breakdown support.

The role

• Respond to equipment breakdowns during production
• Complete preventative and planned maintenance
• Carry out fitting, machining, welding and general repairs
• Maintain food-processing equipment, including conveyors, packaging and Cryovac machinery
• Assist with general plant and building maintenance
• Support plant upgrades and improvement projects

What you will bring

• Certificate III mechanical or engineering trade qualification, or equivalent
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with fitting, welding, hydraulics or pneumatics
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A practical approach and pride in the quality of your work
• Forklift licence desirable

This is a permanent, on-site position offering up to $50 per hour plus penalties, depending on skills and experience. A medical and functional assessment will be required.
