Dock Associate

Position: Dock Associate
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dock Associate to support warehouse operations in Rochester, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers the chance to grow within a fast-paced warehouse environment while supporting inbound and outbound material flow. The Dock Associate will be responsible for unloading shipments, staging and labeling equipment, maintaining organized dock areas, and ensuring materials are efficiently stored and processed. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable performing hands-on warehouse tasks.

Pay Rate:

• $17.00 - $18.00/Hour (Based On Experience)

Shift(s):

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday

Job Duties:

• Unload trucks and accurately stage, organize, and label incoming equipment
• Verify incoming shipments and maintain receiving documentation
• Communicate shipment details and material updates with warehouse team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dock area
• Sort, arrange, and stage pallets and equipment in designated locations
• Consolidate and separate materials based on keep/scrap lists and operational needs
• Optimize warehouse space through proper material organization and placement
• Safely move equipment throughout the warehouse using forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed
• Support warehouse teams with daily operations and process improvements
• Follow company procedures, safety policies, and management direction
• Identify and report safety concerns or equipment issues

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous warehouse, dock, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing workload demands
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable attendance and dependability

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to work in a warehouse and dock environment
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and material handling activities
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Exposure to moving equipment, warehouse noise, and varying conditions
• Strong visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color recognition, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards
