RWR Health is proud to partner with one of New Zealand's leading private surgical hospitals to recruit an experienced Charge Nurse Manager to lead a highly skilled perioperative team across General Surgery, Gynaecology and Plastic Surgery.

As Charge Nurse Manager, you'll provide clinical and operational leadership to a well-established perioperative team of experienced Registered Nurses and RN First Surgical Assistants.
Working closely with the Theatre Manager, fellow Charge Nurse Managers, Theatre Leads, surgeons and anaesthetists, you'll oversee the day-to-day performance of the service while creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to deliver exceptional patient care.

Your Leadership Responsibilities You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting a high-performing theatre team
- Creating a positive, collaborative and engaged workplace culture
- Partnering with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams
- Driving clinical quality, patient safety and service excellence
- Supporting workforce planning and theatre efficiency
- Coaching, mentoring and developing nursing staff
- Leading quality improvement initiatives
- Ensuring outstanding patient and specialist experiences
You're an experienced perioperative leader who enjoys building strong teams and creating environments where people perform at their best.
You'll bring:
- Current Annual Practising Certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Minimum five years' perioperative nursing experience across General Surgery, Gynaecology and Plastic Surgery
- At least three years' leadership experience within an operating theatre environment such as a Team Leader, Coordinator or Clinical Resource Nurse
- Previous experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong operational and clinical leadership capability
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative leadership style focused on coaching and developing others
- Experience with robotic surgery
- Postgraduate qualification in perioperative practice or leadership
