Lead the operational growth and scalability of a purpose-driven organisation supporting aged care providers nationally through financial, payroll and compliance shared services.
The organisation
PACE Care is a not-for-profit shared services organisation supporting aged care providers across Australia with specialist financial processing and accounting solutions. Founded by providers, for providers, PACE Care delivers services across resident billing, payroll, accounting support, compliance reporting, technology integration and onboarding support.
With a strong reputation for partnership and sector expertise, PACE Care is entering an exciting phase of growth and operational maturity, investing in systems, people and scalable processes to support continued national expansion.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and leading a team of six, the Chief Operating Officer will play a pivotal role in translating strategy into operational excellence across the organisation. This role will oversee end-to-end service delivery across payroll, resident billing, accounting support, compliance reporting and technology integration, while driving continuous improvement, scalable operating models and strong client outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading operational performance, service delivery and client satisfaction across all service lines
• Embedding scalable systems, standardised processes and operational frameworks to support growth
• Driving AI, automation and technology-led innovation to improve efficiency and service quality
• Leading and developing a high-performing, collaborative and values-driven team culture

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Senior operational leadership experience within shared services, financial services, professional services or corporate operations
• Demonstrated experience building scalable operating models, systems and process improvements
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance service quality, efficiency and growth
• Genuine interest and hands-on exposure to AI, automation and technology-led innovation
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and client relationship management capability
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a fast-paced environment
• Exposure to the aged care, health or not-for-profit sectors will be highly regarded
