About the role:

We are on the lookout for experienced and highly skilled VMware Engineer with skills in either VCF, NSX or ARIA (vRealize). These roles will be focused on designing, deploying, and maintaining private cloud environments using VMware’s advanced cloud infrastructure and automation platforms.

The right people will be passionate about cloud automation, thrive in complex virtual environments, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. 12 month contracts with multiple renewals on offer

Our client has a large pipeline of signed work to deliver across the Federal Government and Defence sectors in Canberra. They offer free training and exams, a great working culture and the opportunity to work within the VMware products every day!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, deploy, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
  • Implement and maintain VMware Aria Suite
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle process using Aria Automation.
  • Proactively monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and availability.
  • Develop and maintain blueprints, workflows, and automation scripts to support self-service capabilities.
  • Integrate VMware platforms with third-party tools and services as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and application requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system designs, configurations, and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with VMware technologies
  • Strong understanding of SDDC concepts, networking, storage, and security in a virtualized environment.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Familiarity with API integrations and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • VMware certifications such as VCP or VCAP are highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
