SAP Business Analyst

Role:  Business Analyst (SAP S/4 HANA Cutover)
Brisbane-based, hybrid options
10 months contract, possible extension


About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Cutover) to support a major SAP S/4HANA implementation and go‑live cutover. You’ll work closely with cutover and transition leadership to bridge business and technology teams, driving structured, evidence-based readiness decisions for Day 1.


Responsibilities:

• Support delivery of cutover activities aligned to governance frameworks and SAP Activate methodology.
• Assist with planning, implementation and monitoring of technical cutover activities (progress tracking, issue resolution, corrective actions).
• Maintain and coordinate the cutover schedule with program schedulers (downtime, data conversion, batch processing).
• Support technical change/release management activities, minimising operational disruption.
• Coordinate cutover rehearsals and go-live simulations with both business and technical workstreams.
• Support hypercare and post go-live stabilisation, including knowledge transfer to BAU support.
• Maintain risks, issues and interdependencies across SAP and non-SAP environments/releases.
• Assess and communicate impacts of cutover decisions on business processes, infrastructure, security and performance.

Qualifications:

• Experienced Business Analyst working on large, complex programs
• Strong SAP knowledge (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, FICO, MM).
• Strong planning/scheduling capability in complex environments (or supporting a master scheduler).
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills (able to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes).
• Strong governance and reporting discipline.
• Excellent written and verbal communication (documentation, stakeholder reporting, exec-ready materials).
• Experience supporting transformation programs in the public sector.
• Experience with SAP Signavio (BPMN).
• Familiarity with BABOK; BA certifications (e.g., CBAP/CCBA) advantageous.
• Exposure to ITIL-aligned change management in implementation/cutover contexts.
