Establishment of purchasing and inbound/outbound logistic process
-
Preparation and issuing of contracts to domestic and global suppliers.

Drive component localization
-
Meets annual financial targets
-
Development and management of BOS measures to measure effectiveness of the
commodity function
-
Price negotiations with Japanese parts suppliers
-
Identify and develop the strong supplier base for Osaka Plant for current and new
programs
-
Monitor, evaluate and facilitate improvement of supplier performance to ensure
attainment of cost, quality, delivery and service objectives
-
Monitor and facilitate compliance to company policies and procedures
-
Create, manage and maintain annual and periodic logistics strategies and associated
reporting
-
Coordinating GSCM Commodity and Application activities for Japan Business
-
Driving material TVM
-
Setting up and implementing of purchase ordering and tracking system for direct and
indirect supplies through SAP
-
Preparation of LOI’s for components and equipment.
-
Preparation of import and supporting documents
-
Ensuring all new suppliers supply components at correct quality and on-time
-
APQP for all suppliers at new product launch
-
Develop sourcing strategies for electromechanical, emission control, stamping and
tubing components as well as logistics in line with the global commodity strategies
-
Improve use of existing processes, e.g. Supply Chain Information Request Process
(SCIRP)

Support the manufacturing plants in the resolution of major launch issues
-
Works in concert with the global logistics leadership team to achieve best practices
throughout the organization
-
Assists with annual business planning, expense and budgeting processes
-
Monitor progress monthly and revise accordingly to support corporate financial requirements and guidelines
-
Develop, manage and monitor metrics and reporting capabilities via in-house and third-party collaboration to support effective analysis of business operations and trends
-
Manage resource additions and allocations to best support changing business trends and related service/support function
Requirements
-
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline
-
Minimum 5 years experience mainly in SCM
-
Familiarity with drawings, specifications, materials and manufacturing processes
-
Good knowledge on APQP and PPAP processes
-
Cross functional team experience with ability to perform in Matrix organization
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
-
Excellent negotiation skills and proven success working under pressure driving
projects to closure
-
Ability to travel (Domestic and International)
-
Management and mentoring skills to build strong commodity team
-
Ability to champion change and execute strategies to meet goals
-
Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional
teams
-
Solid business acumen
-
Understanding of world markets; commodity, currency, etc.

Sound understanding of financials
-
Functional understanding of manufacturing processes and related Automotive Industry
