With significant investment currently underway across manufacturing operations, engineering infrastructure and production capability, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a business entering an exciting period of growth and transformation.
This newly created 12-month fixed-term contract will see you play a key role in delivering a broad portfolio of engineering and capital projects that will support the site's continued expansion and operational excellence.
The Role
Reporting to the CAPEX & Maintenance Manager, you'll join an established engineering team responsible for delivering a wide range of capital works, facility upgrades and manufacturing improvement projects across the site.
This is a genuine end-to-end Project Engineering position where you'll manage projects from initial concept and feasibility through to design, procurement, installation, commissioning and validation.
You'll work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production and Quality teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and within budget, while identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing capability and site performance.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to commissioning and project handover.
- Develop project scopes, engineering specifications, budgets and CAPEX submissions.
- Produce and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and installation activities across the site.
- Deliver manufacturing equipment installations, facility upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
- Identify and implement engineering solutions that improve efficiency, capacity and operational performance.
- Ensure all projects meet engineering, quality and safety standards.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys taking ownership of engineering projects from start to finish.
To be successful you'll bring:
- Engineering qualifications in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering capital projects within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, FMCG, food, chemical or similarly regulated production environments.
- Strong experience across project planning, design, CAPEX development, commissioning and validation.
- Advanced proficiency using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD (essential).
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating equipment installations and construction activities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
