LORG Talent is partnering with an established truck dealership to recruit a qualified Auto Electrician for a permanent, full-time opportunity in Welshpool, Perth.
You will work on modern heavy commercial vehicles featuring electronically controlled diesel engines, automated transmissions and advanced vehicle electrical systems.

The role
- Complete electrical diagnostics, fault-finding and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles
- Diagnose faults in electronic engine and transmission control systems
- Investigate CAN-bus communication faults and repair wiring, sensors and electrical connections
- Diagnose electrical faults associated with ABS/EBS braking and electronically controlled suspension systems
- Repair and replace lighting, alternators, starter motors and other electrical components
- Install and maintain vehicle electrical accessories
- Perform preventative electrical maintenance
- Diagnose and repair vehicle air-conditioning systems, where qualified
- Maintain accurate job cards and service records
- Work safely and support the workshop team
About you
- Australian Auto Electrical trade qualification or equivalent international qualification
- For UK and Irish applicants: a relevant City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, IMI or equivalent qualification in automotive electrical work
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience as an Auto Electrician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on trucks and heavy commercial vehicles
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with electronic engine management, CAN-bus diagnostics, ZF automated or Allison automatic transmission control systems, and heavy vehicle electronic braking and suspension systems will be highly regarded.
