Responsible for operation and development of quality programs/systems to ensure quality control and assurance on the production of the products consisted with established quality standard and/or internal and external customers’ requirements by performing following duties.
The responsibility also includes handling customer problem solving activities as a corporate quality manager of TJ.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as a representative for all quality problems.

Lead customer problem solving activities for customer to identify root cause and generate corrective action plan

Drive on plant customer issue handling and related process set up/implementation problem solving activity.

Lead manufacturing process efficiently from product quality point of view to build high quality manufactured products to meet with customer specification.

Formulate and maintain quality objectives in compliance with corporate policies and goals.

Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation. Develop Inspection Check sheets for manufactured parts and purchased parts.

Analyze statistical data and product specification to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished products.

Perform quality engineering review of design documentation to participate in design reviews of product, process and tolling.

Develop, coordinate and maintain PFMEA and control plans with being part of core team to develop Process flow, PFMEA, Control plan, Check Sheets and so on.

Initiate and lead APQP process, review and approve PPAP from suppliers. Coordinate with suppliers on Quality issues and resolutions.

Conduct internal audits on Process, Product and System. Maintain data/documents and submit quality reports such nonconformance, PPM, etc as required by management and/or customer.

Design and implement quality training for engineers and production workers.

Investigate and take necessary actions to customer’s feedback and claims. Lead 8D activities to close Quality issues.

Support company initiative and programs such as Lean, Six Sigma and TVM.

Use BOS to track quality record and improve production process.

Review gauge designs. Plan, purchase and maintain gauges and instruments. Ensure Gauge calibration per schedules. Coordinate calibration and maintain Gauge calibration records. Perform MSA.

Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in plant QC or QA.

ISO 9001/TS16949 application to a facility and/or process.

Skills/experience in quality audit and statistical methodology .
-
Global Experience / exposure.
-
Leadership skill.
-
Excellent communication skill in English and Japanese.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a College Degree in Engineering.

Self Starter.
-
Knowledge of Gauge designs / Gauge functions.
-
Ability to read and understand drawings / GD&T.
-
CMM programming and inspection using CMM.
-
Weld cut check qualifications.
-
Excellent computer skills (Excel / Word / Power Point) .
-
Ability to work flexible hours, including travel and attending conference calls at night.
