About the role
The Financial Accountant position is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers a chance to contribute directly to the organisation's financial health while collaborating with a dedicated team.
Key responsibilities
  • Manage month-end closing processes
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable and payroll functions
  • Perform journal entries and reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, advisors, regulators and suppliers.
  • Help coordinate indirect and direct tax compliance activities, including GST, FBT, payroll tax, ESS and income tax reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, maintain banking relationships and assist with cash flow forecasting.
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within financial services
  • Strong capability in using XERO and managing financial processes
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
  • CPA qualified
