Finishes Foreman / Senior Site Supervisor High-Rise Residential Development 

A leading Melbourne-based property and development group is seeking an experienced Finishes Foreman / Senior Site Supervisor to join the delivery team on one of the high-rise residential developments.

This is an opportunity to join a major 50+storey apartment development currently progressing through the final stages of construction. With apartments valued in the region of $600k–$800k each and a total development value of approximately $100m–$150m, this is a large-scale, high-quality project requiring an experienced and hands-on finishes professional.

The Opportunity
The project is now entering a critical stage of delivery, with a strong focus on the coordination and completion of internal and external finishes.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the finishes stage of the project, overseeing a large number of specialist subcontractors and trades to ensure works are completed to the required standard, programme and quality expectations.
You will be responsible for coordinating approximately 30–40 tradespeople and subcontractors, including teams working across:

• Plastering
• Windows and glazing
• Painting
• High-level services
• Internal finishes
• Defects and rectification
• Other specialist finishing trades

This is a role for someone who is comfortable being highly involved on site, understands the importance of sequencing and coordination, and has the experience and authority to ensure subcontractors deliver the required standard of work.
The Role
As the Finishes Foreman / Senior Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating multiple finishing trades and subcontractors on site.
• Overseeing the delivery of works across the final stages of a major high-rise residential project.
• Ensuring subcontractors deliver works to the required quality, programme and project standards.
• Coordinating approximately 30–40 workers across multiple trade packages.
• Managing the sequencing and interface between different finishing trades.
• Reviewing drawings and plans to ensure works are being delivered correctly.
• Identifying issues early and proactively following up with subcontractors to resolve them.
• Monitoring progress and ensuring trades remain on programme.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship across the project.
• Coordinating works across windows, painting, plastering, high-level services and other finishing packages.
• Working closely with the broader site team to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assisting with the identification and rectification of defects.
• Ensuring the project is delivered to a high standard through to completion.

About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Finishes Foreman, Foreman, Site Supervisor or Senior Site Supervisor with a strong background delivering large-scale residential projects.
You will ideally have:

• Significant experience working on high-rise residential or large-scale apartment developments.
• Strong experience managing the finishing stages of major construction projects.
• A background overseeing multiple subcontractors and specialist trades.
• Experience managing teams of 30+ workers and multiple trade packages.
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades, including plastering, windows, painting and services interfaces.
• The ability to confidently read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• The ability to identify issues and proactively follow them through to resolution.
• Excellent trade and subcontractor management skills.
• A strong understanding of sequencing and programme.
• The confidence and experience to manage subcontractors and hold them accountable for delivery.
• A practical, hands-on approach to site management.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
