The College offers a welcoming, community-focused environment and provides practical support to help teachers relocate and settle into the area. This opportunity would suit a Mathematics teacher seeking a permanent position within a supportive regional school community.
About the Position
This full-time, permanent position involves teaching English across the secondary years.
Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 is available, depending on the successful candidate’s current location. School-provided housing is also available and is suitable for individuals or couples.
Accommodation may also be possible for families; however, this must be discussed with the school in advance so it can assess availability and determine whether suitable arrangements can be made.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

Develop effective learning programs, assessments and classroom resources.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and classroom practice.

Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support continued development.

Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and moderation.

Contribute positively to the wider life and community of the College.
Requirements
Teaching Area: Candidates must be qualified and confident teaching English across the secondary years.
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
Work Rights: Candidates must hold appropriate Australian working rights.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
