Apply directThe system engineer will populate “System Design Responsible” & “System Designer” role according to Kongsberg Automotives development process. To be able to perform this task, the system engineer needs to have knowledge within following engineering disciplines, software, hardware and mechanics.
System Designer (according KBD-SDP)
Responsible for definition, analysis and management of system requirements and traceability (including Safety Goals and Safety Requirements). System includes all sub systems, i.e. Mechanics, Electronic Hardware and Software. Develop the System Design and the Technical Concept (including Technical Safety Concept) that comply with the Functional Requirements and the Technical Requirements Specification of the item. Verify that the System Design and the Technical Concept comply with the Technical Requirements Specification.
System Design Responsible (according KBD-SDP)
Main technical interface/contact towards customer. To understand the Customer Interests. To understand/clarify the design Requirements. System Responsible for all designs included in the Project. System includes all sub systems, i.e. Mechanics, Electronic Hardware and Software. To lead / perform the design work on System level including coordination of all Sub-systems and all concerned interfaces. To find and close knowledge gaps and using Set-based engineering as well as simulation, calculations or tests to ensure that the design meets requirements and objectives agreed upon before S-release. Challenge the Knowledge Owners to improve KA standards
Requirements
Qualifications systems engineer (wishlist)

Bachelor or master degree in electronics, mechatronics, computer science, mechanical engineering or similar. Work experience in above mentioned disciplines is also qualifying.
