Cable & Harness Assembler

Nesco Resource is looking for a Cable & Harness Assembler located in Danbury, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: 7AM-3:30PM

Pay: $19/Hour

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Cable & Harness Assembler to perform cable and wire assembly operations according to documented work instructions, customer specifications, and production requirements. This role involves hands-on work with various hand tools and assembly equipment, including wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and termination. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and willing to cross-train in other production areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform cable and wire harness assembly according to work instructions, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Cut, strip, terminate, crimp, and assemble wires and cables using various hand and semi-automatic tools.
• Accurately measure wire and cable lengths using rulers, measuring tapes, and calipers.
• Enter production transactions into computer systems and complete required logs, records, and documentation.
• Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures.
• Read and follow build material lists, work instructions, and training documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with supervisors and team leads to meet production requirements.
• Be flexible and willing to cross-train in other production and assembly areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience working with wiring, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or hand tools preferred.
• Experience using hand assembly tools such as wire cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, pliers, tweezers, and knives.
• Ability to accurately measure in both U.S. Standard and Metric units using rulers, measuring tapes, and calipers.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, assembly documentation, drawings, and material lists.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow precise assembly instructions.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and read/write in English.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Manufacturing or production assembly experience is a plus.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge or experience is a plus.
