We're partnering with a growing and highly respected insurance business seeking an experienced Claims Consultant to join their Melbourne team on a temporary basis.
You'll join a collaborative claims team that manages a diverse portfolio of commercial and domestic insurance claims across Australia. The Role
Working closely with the Claims Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of claims from lodgement through to resolution. Claims will be allocated based on your experience and technical capability, with exposure across a broad range of products.
Claims may include:
- Domestic Property
- Commercial Property / ISR
- Business Packs
- Contractors Plant & Machinery
- Motor Vehicle (Fleet, Commercial and Domestic)
- Third Party Liability and Injury Claims
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of claims from start to finish
- Liaise with insureds, brokers, assessors, repairers and service providers
- Investigate claims and determine coverage in line with policy conditions
- Coordinate repairs, assessments and settlement activities
- Maintain accurate claim records and documentation
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the claims lifecycle
- Contribute to team objectives and support colleagues as required
About You
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Minimum 2-3 years' insurance claims experience
- Strong experience managing property claims (highly preferred)
- Exposure to commercial insurance products and business packs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative environment
