Our client is an elite global law firm with world-class practices operating across the world’s key financial centers. Known for delivering practical, creative solutions to complex legal and business matters, their Asia business development team operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment supporting corporate and litigation practices across Asia.
Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Management: Lead end-to-end execution of Asia-based client events, including seminars, offsites, social gatherings, partner roadshows, vendor negotiations, and post-event follow-up.

Practice BD Strategy: Work alongside Senior BD Managers to implement practice-specific business development plans for corporate and litigation teams.

Marketing & Communications: Oversee regional client communications, marketing collateral, directory and award submissions, press releases, and social media platforms (LinkedIn and WeChat).

Database & CRM Oversight: Manage client information and targeted mailing lists within DealCloud, tracking key business development activities and analytics.

Team Supervision & Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a Hong Kong-based Events and Marketing Coordinator, delegating tasks and driving operational excellence.

Global & Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with global BD sub-teams (PR, Digital, Events) and local business functions across HK, Beijing, and Tokyo.
Candidate Profile

Education & Qualification: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Law, or Finance (JD or advanced degree is a plus).

Experience: Significant business development, event planning, and marketing experience within a top-tier law firm, financial institution, or professional services firm.

Team Leadership: Experience managing direct reports or supervising event execution teams.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in contemporary productivity software, CRM platforms (DealCloud experience preferred), and institutional social media management (WeChat/LinkedIn).

Languages & Interpersonal Skills: Professional fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is strongly preferred; excellent stakeholder management skills to interact directly with senior partners.
