Location: Vietnam – Fully Remote
Experience: 3–6+ years
We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines supporting cybersecurity analytics and reporting. You will work with high-volume log and telemetry data, using Python and SQL to transform information from security and cloud platforms into reliable, analytics-ready datasets.
This would suit a data engineer who enjoys working with complex, semi-structured data and is interested in applying their engineering skills within a cybersecurity environment in a fully remote set-up.
What You'll Do
- Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL and modern data-processing frameworks.
- Ingest and transform high-volume security telemetry including JSON, syslog, XML and API-based data.
- Develop reusable datasets and data models supporting threat analytics, detection and reporting.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to integrate data from SIEM, EDR, Splunk, Cribl and cloud telemetry sources.
What We're Looking For
- 3–6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL development, with strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience handling semi-structured or JSON-heavy datasets and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Exposure to log-management or security platforms such as Splunk, Cribl, Elastic, SIEM or EDR.
- Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD and modern engineering practices, with good English communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Snowpark, dbt, Airflow, cloud log ingestion or cybersecurity concepts such as MITRE ATT&CK, SOC workflows or detection engineering would be advantageous.
