The Mechanical Lead Engineer has to ensure that delivered mechanical component parts fulfill the R&D requirements for the whole system. The Mechanical Lead is leading and coordinating a mechanical R&D Team at the component level.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth communication between the mechanical R&D team and the R&D lead in regard to all R&D-related topics at the (mechanical) components level.
- Ensures that mechanical device component requirements are implemented.
- Establishes and monitors a level 3 R&D schedule aligned with the R&D lead and mechanical R&D team.
- Confirms the content of releases (internal and to the customer) at the request of R&D Project Technical Manager.
- Manages the mechanical R&D team.
- Escalates topics to the R&D lead and provides adequate information and proposal for decision making.
- Manages the change management process in terms of QCT for all changes related to the mechanical R&D scope of the project.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree (mechanical)
- Over 3 to 5 years experience in Automotive R&D development activities.
- Experience with leading a team, direct and / or project based.
- Development experience and technology base knowledge in automotive electronics devices
- Preferable to have experience with electronic Sensing/controller units
