Clarity Partners is looking for an experienced Estimating Lead to join a growing Western Australian civil infrastructure contractor delivering complex projects across the water, wastewater and broader civil construction sectors.

This is a senior opportunity for an estimating professional who wants to take ownership of the estimating and tendering function while having a genuine influence on the organisation's continued growth. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities, develop commercially sound bids and strengthen the systems and processes that support successful project delivery.

The role will suit someone who combines strong technical estimating capability with commercial awareness, leadership experience and the confidence to influence decisions at a senior level.

What You’ll Lead

• Lead the estimating and tendering function, setting direction and maintaining high standards across submissions
• Assess upcoming opportunities and provide informed recommendations on project suitability and commercial viability
• Develop competitive pricing strategies and commercially sound tender submissions
• Lead tender reviews, risk assessments and commercial evaluations
• Oversee pricing inputs from suppliers, subcontractors and consultants to ensure accurate and competitive submissions
• Partner closely with operational and project teams to support a smooth transition from tender award through to project delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships across key subcontractor, supplier and consultant networks
• Drive continuous improvement across estimating systems, processes, tools and reporting
• Mentor and develop estimating and project support personnel, building capability across the function
• Influence strategic decisions around project opportunities, margins, tender strategy and business growth

About You

We’re looking for a commercially astute estimating professional who is ready to take on a broader leadership remit.

You will ideally bring:

• Proven experience in a senior estimating, estimating management or commercial leadership position
• Strong experience within civil construction, infrastructure, utilities or water-related projects
• A solid understanding of tendering, pricing, cost planning and commercial risk
• Demonstrated experience managing or leading estimating activities across multiple projects or tenders
• Strong understanding of subcontractor, supplier and consultant pricing
• Excellent commercial judgement with the ability to assess project opportunities and risk
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to develop relationships across both operational and senior leadership teams
• A proactive approach to improving systems, processes and estimating capability
• Strong leadership skills with a genuine interest in developing people and building high-performing teams
