Product and Technology Lead

Due to growth, our client is seeking an experienced Product and Technology Lead to help drive product direction, technical leadership and delivery capability across a diverse software ecosystem.

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded product and technology leader who enjoys operating in fast-moving environments and wants genuine influence over product evolution, engineering standards and delivery execution.

About the role:

The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, developers and designers to improve product quality, strengthen engineering workflows, guide technical decision-making and support the continued growth of the company’s software portfolio.

The role offers significant ownership, direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape the long-term technical and product direction of a scaling software company.

The role has strong long-term potential to evolve into a broader CTO leadership position as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Technology Leadership

• Help define product priorities, feature direction and technical initiatives across multiple software products
• Identify product gaps, usability issues and opportunities to improve customer experience
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, scalability, security, DevOps and software quality
• Review and improve existing technical approaches, workflows and delivery practices

Team & Operational Support

• Assist with hiring, onboarding and management of developers, designers and technical resources
• Guide developers and technical contributors across front end, back end and infrastructure projects
• Improve delivery processes, technical documentation, SOPs and workflow management
• Maintain oversight of timelines, priorities, blockers and project risks
• Support QA processes and product reliability standards
• Support coordination across distributed and offshore teams where required
• Help improve operational structure, execution capability and team efficiency

Required Experience

• Strong technical capability across modern software development practices and architectures
• Exposure across front end, back end, infrastructure, DevOps and security principles
• Experience leading or mentoring developers, designers or technical teams
• Strong product thinking with the ability to identify friction points and improve user outcomes
• Experience delivering software products, features or platforms from concept through to release
• Strong organisational capability across delivery management, workflows, documentation and SOPs
• Ability to operate autonomously and solve problems proactively

• Startup or scale-up experience
