The Interior Sensing Function Owner is responsible for the requirements
elicitation, and for the proposal of functions at the vehicle system level,
aiming at acquiring new customers.
The Function Owner contributes to the definition of a Core Function for Driver&In-Cabin Monitoring Systems and has the responsibility to develop a concept for Application projects. This position requires interfacing with cross functional, global and regional Core development teams located in North America and Europe, as well as customers and
technology partners.
Working in the Core team, the Function Owner will be given the opportunity to make significant contributions to the creation and implementation of new active safety products.
Specific Duties
- Define and design Function concepts and applications in accordance and external standards
- Support in process definition and rollouts for ADAS systems and associated tools
- Gather and analyze in the RFI/RFQ process the requirements and define the corresponding systems architecture
- Lead an adaptation of a DMS/ICMS-based function algorithm in customer application projects
- Perform a gap analysis between platform development and customer project, manage and elicitate requirements in requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS) for the owned function
- Generate effort estimation for the pre-development or application activities and create function and feature development plan in
the application project - Coordinate customer feature adaptation(e.g., interdisciplinary meetings, task tracking, work breakdown and planning, issues management, reporting)
- Coordinate stakeholders like suppliers, customers, engineering and sensor development for the owned feature
- Control and perform reviews with cross functional teams for owned feature
- Identify possible feature improvements in the scope of customer applications and report into platform development
- Provide support of process definition and rollouts for feature adaption on system level
- Contribute to the product roadmap definition in coordination with its owner
- Establish contacts with carmakers Advanced Engineering and Development divisions
- Support and review of feature validation and verification with V&V teams
- Support customer/investor demonstrations or Technology, regional and international
- Solicit customer input on existing architecture & future needs, feedback to Core
development and Product Planning - Keep close contact to the platform development and coordinate adaptations for customer events: technical demonstrations, documentation reviews, alignments, etc.
- Join benchmark activities, maintain technical knowledge by staying up-to-date with Veoneer/suppliers technologies
- Other duties related to product development or support as assigned by the Regional Engineering Manager
- Travel, including international, to meet with global counterparts and customer
Requirements

Experience
Desired Background
Automotive design or Model based software development for Advanced
Driver Assistance Systems. Experience with ADAS, camera, radar, brake control,
engine/powertrain control, and steering controls.
Previous involvement as Systems Engineer or feature/function
owner, with Customer interaction.
Advanced experience with requirement analysis and reviews.
Past experience with driver status, bio-identification, medical vital parameters are beneficial.
Good understanding of systems architecture workflow and its relation to requirements management.
Profound knowledge in automotive and safety critical software development.
Good knowledge on the NCAP standards.
Solid knowledge with automotive standards like A-SPICE and ISO 26262.
General knowledge of Doors, PTC, JIRA, Human-Machine Interface.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field of study
Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills towards internal and external audiences including customer and leadership.
Analytical ability, experience in writing clear requirements and presenting technical information to non-/specialists.
Problem solving skills independent judgment, hands-on attitude, attention to
detail, adaptability.
Self-motivated, proactive, able to work well within an interdisciplinary
multiple-site team, with minimal remote supervision.
