Real Estate Associate/Senior Associate, Hospitality

Introduction

A leading global real estate investment platform is seeking a dynamic and analytical Associate or Senior Associate to join its hospitality-focused real estate team. With a hands-on, value-driven approach, the firm operates across major international markets and is known for executing high-impact investments in key sectors including hospitality.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to work in a regionally impactful role based in Japan, with responsibility for hospitality-related real estate transactions across the APAC region. The position offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle — from acquisition to exit — and provides the chance to work with seasoned professionals across investments, asset management, and development.

Responsibilities

Pre-Investment:

• Screen investment opportunities and conduct industry/sector research
• Build and maintain complex financial models to support underwriting and valuation
• Assist in the due diligence process and participate in lender negotiations
• Prepare internal investment memorandums and external presentation materials
• Track macro and sector-specific data to support strategic investment views

Post-Investment:

• Monitor and interpret asset performance and market benchmarks
• Support transition from deal closing to asset management strategy execution
• Collaborate with asset management and development teams on value-creation initiatives
• Contribute to exit strategy development and asset disposition processes

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in real estate, with strong preference for backgrounds in real estate private equity or hospitality investment
• Demonstrated transaction experience in hospitality assets across APAC, especially Japan
• High proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and presentation tools
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in both English and Japanese
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities under pressure
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree in real estate or finance preferred
• Passion for real estate investment, particularly in the hospitality sector
