As the organisation continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced 2nd Class Welder / Workshop Labourer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a mixed role involving both welding and general workshop and labouring duties, with welding forming part of the work rather than the sole focus.
Key Features
- $42.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm
- 38 hours per week
- Located in Springfarm

Duties
- MIG welding, oxyacetylene cutting, and plasma cutting (as required)
- Maintenance and repair of ISO shipping containers
- General workshop labouring, including heavy lifting and material handling
- Cleaning, preparation, and basic fabrication support tasks
- Use of hand and power tools
- Reading and interpreting basic drawings and instructions
- Supporting qualified welders and workshop staff
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in welding and/or workshop labouring roles
- Basic MIG welding skills (not a full-time welding position)
- Ability to read and follow instructions and basic drawings
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and repetitive labouring tasks
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to pass a welding test (basic level)
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Confined space and working at heights tickets (desirable, not essential)
