Apply directImmediate start for an experienced Payroll Officer to be based in the Northern suburbs for approximately 4 - 6 weeks.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing for employees across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing on a weekly/fortnightly basis for up to 460 staff.
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
- Interpreting relevant awards, agreements, and legislation
- Managing superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax obligations
- Processing new starters, terminations, and leave entitlements
- Responding to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting with payroll reporting and audits as required
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously and manage deadlines effectively
- Police check required
