Application Modernization Lead

A General Insurance service provider, is seeking an experienced Application Modernization Lead to support the modernization of its core insurance applications.
This role is focused on reviewing application designs and technical deliverables, ensuring modernization initiatives align with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Review application designs, technical specifications, and solution deliverables in collaboration with SMEs
- Provide technical guidance for modernization of core insurance applications, including Policy Administration, Claims, and Billing systems
- Evaluate solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, business requirements, and modernization objectives
- Support application modernization initiatives involving IBM Mainframe transformation, including rehost and rebuild strategies
- Design and review hybrid architectures integrating IBM Mainframe and Open Systems
- Provide expertise on API architecture, integration patterns, and z/OS Connect implementation
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and external vendors throughout project delivery
- Review functional and technical documentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, and improvement opportunities during solution reviews
- Provide technical leadership during enterprise transformation and modernization programs
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of modernization initiatives
- Support project planning, issue management, risk tracking, and technical governance activities
- Ensure solutions follow enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and development best practices

Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise IT solutions, leading complex application modernization and digital transformation initiatives
- Deep expertise in insurance business processes and core platforms, including Policy Administration Systems (PAS), Claims Management, and Billing systems
- Extensive experience modernizing IBM Mainframe environments using rehost, rebuild, and legacy application transformation strategies as part of enterprise modernization programs
- Strong capability in designing scalable solution architectures and hybrid environments that integrate IBM Mainframe applications with open systems
- Expertise in API architecture, RESTful services, z/OS Connect, and enterprise integration technologies to enable secure and seamless connectivity
- Proven ability to deliver enterprise application modernization initiatives that align technology solutions with business objectives, improving agility, scalability, and operational efficiency

Working Style: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
