About the Position
The school is seeking an experienced Technologies educator to lead teaching and learning across Design Technology, Food Technology and Digital Technology. This POL 3 leadership position will oversee curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and staff development within the Technologies learning area, with a strong focus on improving student engagement and learning outcomes.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Assistant Principal – Learning and Teaching and lead a team of Technologies teachers and support staff. This role would suit an educator who combines strong curriculum knowledge with the ability to develop staff, analyse student learning data and lead ongoing improvement.
Skills and Responsibilities

Lead curriculum planning, review and delivery across Technologies, ensuring alignment with the Victorian Curriculum and relevant VCE Study Designs.

Maintain safe, supportive and child-safe learning environments, including appropriate workplace health and safety practices within practical Technologies areas.

Use assessment data, including internal and external measures, to identify priorities and improve student learning, engagement and growth.

Develop staff capability through professional learning, collaboration, feedback and clear learning-area goals aligned with whole-school priorities.

Lead the organisation and promotion of the Technologies learning area, including resources, budgets, subject selection, community engagement and contribution to staff recruitment.
Requirements

Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, or eligibility to obtain VIT registration.

Demonstrated experience teaching within Technologies, with relevant experience across Design Technology, Food Technology and/or Digital Technology.

Demonstrated curriculum or learning-area leadership experience and the capacity to lead staff and continuous improvement.

Capacity to support and contribute positively to the Catholic identity, values and Salesian ethos of the school.

Strong understanding of child safety responsibilities and commitment to the welfare of young people.

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's onboarding and safeguarding requirements.
