Project Delivery and Control Officer

About the Company

Davidson Technology are working with a State Government Department to secure a Project Delivery and Control Officer to provide project coordination, reporting, project controls, and administrative support services across Operational Data Systems.


About the Role

As the Project Delivery will provide high-quality project coordination, reporting, project controls and administrative support within department’s Operational Data Systems (ODS) team, supporting a diverse portfolio of technology and operational initiatives including the Operational Data Centre (ODC), Traffic Count Program (TCP), Critical Safety Middleware (CSM) and Cyber Security. You will coordinate project meetings, workshops and delivery activities, prepare agendas and executive reporting materials, accurately capture minutes, actions, decisions, risks and issues, and proactively follow up stakeholders to ensure actions progress to closure. You will maintain professional and accurate project documentation and repositories in Confluence, support project tracking, reporting and change activities through Jira, and develop and continuously improve templates, reporting standards, registers and documentation processes. You will monitor actions, risks, issues, decisions and change requests across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring stakeholders receive accurate and timely information while providing the structured project controls and administrative support required to keep delivery activities organised and on track.


About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring demonstrated experience in project delivery, project controls, coordination or administration, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring deliverables and competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have excellent written communication skills, with experience preparing professional reports, executive reporting packs, meeting minutes and project documentation, and the ability to translate discussions and decisions into clear actions and proactively follow these through to completion. You will be proficient across Microsoft Office and ideally experienced with Jira and Confluence, or able to quickly develop capability in these platforms, while being comfortable working independently and collaboratively with project teams and management. Experience supporting technology, software, data or digital transformation initiatives will be highly regarded, particularly where you have exposure to data and reporting environments, project management methodologies, risk and assurance processes, project controls, and the continuous improvement of reporting frameworks and project artefacts. Experience providing coordination and reporting support to steering committees, boards, reference groups or other senior stakeholder forums will also be advantageous.


The Benefits

You will be offered an excellent hourly rate on a contract to 30^th June 2027 with the option of 3 x 6-month contracts and the ability to work 50% from home.
