Physical Security Technology Specialist

This role plans and implements Physical Security Technology initiatives within China. This person is responsible for implementing appropriate physical security solutions to mitigate the

risks to protect business operations.

This position reports to the China Operations Manager and dotted-line to the Physical Security Technology Manager in the U.S.

Location: Hefei, Anhui.

Desired Skills and Experience

● Provide direct support and coordination to the PSBR team, cross-functionalcounterparts, and external partners on all physical security technology matters impacting people, facilities, and processes

● Advise on and guide security planning efforts in alignment with Zoom’s new office design, expansions, conversions, and restructuring and serve as the liaison between Workplace, Physical Security, Business Resilience, and EHS to promote change management and ensure compliance with standards

● Propose integrated physical security solutions to realize deterrence, delay, detection and

response to threats that potentially damage ZOOM’s operations

● Assist with the continuous review of existing physical security standards and policies.

● Support in conducting continual research and recommendations into defined and scalable safety and security processes and technologies appropriate for Zoom

● Lead the design review process with key stakeholders to make sure balanced & protection -in-depth are implemented at each Zoom China location.

● Prepare RFPs (Request for Proposals) including technical requirements and cost estimates for performance-based contracts. Lead RFP review with key stakeholders.

● Assist with the preparation of bills of materials (BOMs) for security integrators including review and quality assurance of integrator bids.

● Support the procurement team in the contracting phase.

● Lead and closely work together with key stakeholders and vendor(s) during the installation & acceptance testing phase when physical security system upgrades and/or new system is deployed.

● Prepare the SOP(s) for physical security system

● Lead the testing and auditing process of the physical security system periodically or

events happen.

● Assist with physical security systems management including the ability to troubleshoot

system/network-related issues to determine root cause

● Lead the training process on annually basis and/or new system deployed and/or

upgrades

● Lead the maintenance and troubling shooting process during the entire life cycle of

physical security system assets.

● Budget management for physical security systems across Zoom China locations.

● Knowledge and experience with security requirements for an enterprise data center or

critical infrastructure environment

Desired Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in related fieldChina Physical Security Technology Specialist

● Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP)

and/or other equivalent cert.

Requirements

● 2+ years experiences in physical security area for a private sector multinational company

● 1+ years experiences in management of physical security and/or systems engineering/technology projects, developing and executing project scope and budget, and managing 3rd party contracts and contractors

● Experiences in working with a diverse workforce and cross-functional teams

● Broad understanding of physical security technology controls, including but not limited to

Automated Access Control System (AACS), CCTV, Intrusion detection and alarm system.

● Be familiar with vulnerability assessment and /or threat assessments

● Be familiar with local fire codes

● Experience leading design and implementation of physical security technology project(s)

● Experience interfacing and collaborating with key stakeholders including but not limited

to Corporate Security team, IT team, Facility & admin team, vendors.

● Fluency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Asana and Adobe

● Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

● Proficient in Mandarin and English both speaking and writing, other Asian language is

valuable assets

● Ability to legally travel throughout the region and specifically to countries with Zoom

facilities or data centers.
