Apply directA financial services organization is seeking an IT Tester for a hybrid role in Vienna, Virginia. This position supports enterprise testing efforts by validating application functionality, documenting defects, and helping ensure quality across system enhancements and implementations.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for enterprise applications
- Create, update, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and supporting testing documentation
- Analyze business and system requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects, issues, and testing results
- Partner with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams to support testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Experience performing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test case management, test execution, defect tracking, requirements traceability, and test reporting
- Experience creating, executing, and maintaining test cases and test scenarios
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Software Testing Life Cycle, and project lifecycles
- Ability to analyze business and system requirements and translate them into testing activities
- Experience documenting defects, test results, and testing metrics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience supporting financial services or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with system integrations, reporting validation, and end-to-end testing
- Experience using test management and defect tracking tools
