Kingston Human Capital is proud to partner with the Queensland Family and Child Commission in the search for an exceptional executive to lead the Child Safe Organisations Division.
Reporting to the Principal Commissioner, the Executive Director, Child Safe Organisations is responsible for leading Queensland's Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Schemes, providing strategic leadership across a complex regulatory environment that protects children and young people. As a member of the Commission's Senior Executive Management, you will shape organisational strategy, influence government policy and ensure the delivery of an effective, contemporary and trusted regulatory framework.
This is a unique opportunity to lead one of Queensland's most significant child safeguarding functions during a period of transformational change. Subject to legislative approval, you will also play a key leadership role in establishing the future Queensland Protection Commission, helping design and embed a modern, intelligence-led regulator that strengthens safeguarding outcomes for generations to come.

- Providing executive leadership of Queensland's Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Schemes, ensuring the delivery of a contemporary, risk-based regulatory function that protects children and young people
- Leading regulatory operations, compliance, investigations and statutory decision-making while driving continuous improvement, innovation and organisational performance
- Providing strategic advice to the Principal Commissioner, Executive Leadership Board and Government on regulatory, legislative and emerging safeguarding issues, contributing to policy development and system-wide reform
- Building trusted relationships across government, regulators and key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, improve safeguarding outcomes and enhance public confidence in Queensland's child safe regulatory framework
- Leading a high-performing and values-driven division, ensuring strong governance, financial stewardship and a culture of accountability, inclusion and continuous learning.
- Executive leadership experience leading a complex regulatory, compliance or public sector function
- Demonstrated success driving strategic reform, organisational performance and system-wide change
- Exceptional ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders across government and diverse sectors
- Experience providing high-level strategic advice to executive leaders, boards or government
- Strong governance, commercial and organisational leadership capability, including financial stewardship and workforce leadership
- Outstanding communication, judgement and decision-making skills, with a commitment to integrity and public sector values.
