Validation Team Lead for LIDAR

The company is an automotive supplier and partner to automakers around the world. They design innovative solutions for smart mobility while aiming to lower CO2 emissions.

Role:

• The System Test Lead ensures that business requirement failures are detected during the system test activities.
• Leads and coordinate the system testing activities.
• Reports to the System Validation TPM.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes and aligns system test plan and strategy based on system integration, verification, and validation test strategy.
• Deterministic tests, verification, validation, statistical tests, and KPIs according to the allocated scope.
• Defines needed services in terms of data collection, annotation, data logic, tool automation/toolchain, and car modification, and follows up with the system validation services coordinator. (i.e. acts as a customer of system validation service coordinator.)
• Supports the definition of the system integration, verification, and validation test process.
• Ensures feasibility of the system testing activities.
• Ensures the application of the project test strategy in system test terms (including the system test process).
• Analyzes and approves testability of the requirements.
• Defines and deploys the system test resources (engineers and environment) deployment plan.
• Support the design of the system test environment.
• Reviews and approves the system test specification.
• Freezes the contents of the system smoke test.
• Review and approves the system test execution.
• Prepares the system test report.
• Communicates the system test report to all stakeholders, including function safety members.
• Closes the system test activities.
• Defines, tracks, and reports KPIs (system test status) in his/her area of responsibility.
• Continuously identifies areas for improvement, defines measures, and ensures implementation in his/her area of responsibility.
• In case of deviations, escalates to the test management lead and provides adequate information and proposals for decision making.
• Takes part in the function of the core team.

Requirements

• Japanese (business level)
• English (business level)
• Experience in project management (planning, monitoring, and control against priorities)
• Experience in system testing
• Understanding of system test case writing methodologies and test execution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication/reporting skills
• Knowledge of the process models (e.g. Automotive Spice) regarding verification and validation process area
• Optional: certificated ISTQB Test Manager Advanced Level
