Accounts Receivable Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team in Rochester, NY. This is a contract, fully on-site position offering $22 per hour. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume cash application and a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.

Position Overview
This role is responsible for posting daily cash receipts, ensuring invoice accuracy, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting internal financial controls. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Post all incoming cash receipts to the correct customer accounts and invoices based on remittance information
Ensure all cash is processed and applied within the same business day
Review invoices for proper documentation and follow up on discrepancies
Partner with internal teams to resolve missing or incorrect information
Research, reconcile, and analyze payment data to ensure financial accuracy
Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and controls
Monitor transactions and assist in identifying potential fraudulent activity

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience (high-volume cash application strongly preferred)
High school diploma required
Solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly within A/R
Ability to manage high volumes of payments accurately and efficiently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
