Assistant Manager - Canberra

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join one of the world's most recognised premium retailers at their Canberra Centre location. Working alongside an experienced Store Manager, you'll help lead a team of approximately 35 people across a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The Role:

Partnering closely with the Store Manager, you'll help drive the overall performance of the store while developing a high-performing and engaged team. You'll be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing a large retail team
• Supporting and developing other leaders within the business
• Driving sales, KPIs and commercial performance
• Creating an exceptional customer experience
• Identifying opportunities to improve store results
• Supporting rostering, staffing and performance management
• Maintaining strong merchandising and operational standards

About You:

We're looking for an established Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or experienced retail leader who is ready for greater scale and responsibility. You'll ideally bring.

• Experience within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong people leadership and coaching capability
• Experience leading and developing sizeable teams
• Confidence managing performance and difficult conversations
• Strong commercial understanding across sales and KPIs
• Excellent operational standards
• The ability to work autonomously and take ownership
• Energy, initiative and a genuine passion for customer experience

Your background doesn't need to be industry specific. We're open to leaders from fashion, beauty, department stores, large-format, premium and other high-volume retail environments. What matters most is your ability to lead people, drive performance and thrive in a fast-moving retail environment.
