●The Requirements Manager Supports the System Technical Project Manager in defining and maintaining the Requirements Management Process for JOEM customers.
●Responsible for receiving and analysing the requirements coming from the customer
●Responsible for driving, defining and maintaining the consistency of the requirements of the whole product (System, Software, Mechatronic, System Validation, Electronics Engineering).
●The Requirements Manager ensures the consistency of the overall requirements and monitors full horizontal and vertical traceability for the overall product (not only System Requirements)
Responsibilities
- Drives overall requirements management activities (Stakeholder: System, Software, Mechatronic, System Validation, Electronics Engineering, Functional Safety, Cyber Security).
- Defines the Requirements Management Plan (RMP) and aligns how attributes will be handled along with the Function Owners, Software Team, Electronics Engineers, Mechanical Engineer and System Validation Team.
- Defines Requirements life cycle status
- Works as interface to internal teams and customer / suppliers for requirements exchanges
- Create documents collection
- Manage and track changes respective to documents version
- Allocates customer requirements for analysis to the System team (Function Owner)
- Contributes to and maintains Document Tracking List [DTL], Requirements Management Plan [RMP], customer requirements specification. Requirements Traceability KPI’s on all levels of engineering.
- Supervises traceability between customer, system and metier requirements
- Coordinates review of the system requirements with other members of the team (e.g. Function Owners FOs, System Architect, System Validation Engineer, SW, Mechatronic, etc..)
- Create traceability reports and metrics [End to End traceability]
- Reports overall (Customer, System , Software, Mechanical, Electrical) requirements metrics
- Escalates issues regarding requirements engineering according to escalation matrix/level
- Requests all necessary inputs to carry on his/her duty (project plan & schedule)
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Technology, Mechatronics or Equivalent
- Ideally experience in Automotive development, driving assistance systems or Embedded Systems
- Understanding of system requirements writing methodologies
- Know-how in vehicle bus systems like (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
- Automotive experience with practical experience, if possible, with data recording in vehicle on e.g. CANoe, ADTF
- Excellent knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) - Must
- Fluent Japanese (for foreigner, min JLPT N3)
