This position offers a Science teacher the opportunity to join the school on a permanent basis and contribute to the academic development of students across the secondary years.
About the Position
This full-time, permanent position will involve teaching Science across Years 7-10. The school is seeking a qualified Science teacher who can deliver engaging theoretical and practical learning and develop students' understanding of key scientific concepts. An ASAP commencement is available, with the school also open to candidates available from Term 4, 2026. The school is looking to interview suitable candidates immediately.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Years 7-10 aligned with NSW curriculum requirements.
- Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and safe practice in classroom and laboratory environments.
- Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, progress and expectations.
- Collaborate with Science colleagues on curriculum planning, practical activities, assessment and moderation.
- Provide clear classroom leadership and support students to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and critical thinking.
Requirements
Science: Candidates must be suitably qualified and able to teach Science across Years 7-10.
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain accreditation with NESA.
Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
