Job Description
Technician II, Line Maintenance
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 3:30pm to 2:00am

In Client's Heart Failure division, we're advancing the treatment of heart and vascular disease through breakthrough medical technologies in electrophysiology and heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Perform preventative, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations, and modifications on production equipment.
• Record all maintenance repair activity on production equipment and fixtures using CMMS.
• Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines
• Knowledge of and experience in troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment
• Knowledge of and experience in using small tools, micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, multimeters, etc.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written procedures
• Ability to read and understand drawings and electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Knowledge of personal computer operations and skill in using software packages including Microsoft Office
• Ability to respond to and answer/solve technical questions and problems
• Tear down, inspect and rebuild production equipment
• Ability to diagnose PLC problems and take the appropriate corrective action to repair
• Requisition needed items for inventory, spare parts and emergency repairs
• Support 5S
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical vocational training and/or military experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience.
• Knowledge of and skill in repairing industrial machines
Role Overview
• Maintenance Technician role within the maintenance group
• Work involves small bench-scale equipment and slightly larger equipment in production areas
• Equipment is not large or heavy industrial machinery
Technical Responsibilities
• Repairing, disassembling, and troubleshooting equipment
• Strong focus on maintenance experience (not assembly-only backgrounds)
• Functional testing of assembly or production equipment
• Mechanical troubleshooting; fabrication is not a major requirement
• Comfort working around automation equipment
Electrical / PLC Experience
• Electrical maintenance experience required
• Some PLC experience preferred, but:
o Not a large part of the role
o No PLC programming required
o Just basic troubleshooting and understanding
• Automation/PLC team handles programming
Candidate Background & Requirements
• High school diploma minimum
• Technical/vocational education preferred
• Degree or formal education in maintenance or related technical field is a plus
• Industrial maintenance experience required
• Experience disassembling and maintaining machines
• Medical device or optics manufacturing experience is a plus, but not mandatory
