Davidson is partnering with a large, highly regulated enterprise undertaking a significant AI transformation. The organisation is investing in modern, sustainable technology capabilities and is seeking an experienced AI Architect to provide strategic direction across its evolving AI ecosystem.

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide AI adoption, establish robust architecture standards and help translate emerging technology into practical, scalable business outcomes.

About the Role
The AI Architect will act as a senior architecture authority across the organisation’s AI domain, providing technical leadership and strategic advice to technology executives, transformation leaders and delivery teams.

The role will support the development of fit-for-purpose AI architecture while ensuring solutions remain aligned with broader technology strategy, risk requirements and long-term platform sustainability.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing thought leadership and architectural direction across the AI domain.
• Advising senior technology leaders and key business stakeholders on AI strategy, investment and solution design.
• Developing and maintaining architecture artefacts, including domain strategies, architecture blueprints, patterns and models.
• Establishing architecture patterns for multi-agent solutions, agent orchestration and human-agent collaboration.
• Governing technology decisions, including solution alignment, platform selection and product evaluation.
• Overseeing solution architecture across initiatives spanning multiple technology and business domains.
• Providing direction, coaching and support to Solution Architects and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Contributing to architecture practices, governance processes and technology health assessments.
• Identifying and managing AI, technology, compliance and operational risks.
• Ensuring AI solutions are scalable, stable, secure and sustainable.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced technology architect with demonstrated capability delivering practical AI outcomes within complex enterprise environments.

They will bring:

• Extensive technology experience across multiple domains.
• At least five years of architecture experience supporting complex enterprise initiatives.
• Demonstrated architecture experience delivering tangible AI solutions.
• Experience designing multi-agent architectures, agent orchestration patterns and human-agent operating models.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, practices and governance.
• Experience contributing to technology strategy and influencing major technology decisions.
• A strong understanding of AI-related risks, including security, compliance, operational and third-party considerations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive level.
• Demonstrated leadership across complex business and technical challenges.
• Experience working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience within wealth, superannuation or financial services is a must.
