About the School
HARKE has partnered with a co-educational Catholic Day and Boarding School in regional NSW, educating students across Years 7-12. The College provides a broad Creative and Performing Arts program, with Music forming part of the CAPA Faculty. Students have access to classroom Music courses alongside private instrumental lessons delivered by specialist instrumental tutors, allowing the classroom Music Teacher to focus on curriculum delivery and the broader development of student musicianship.
About the Position
The College is seeking a full-time Music Teacher to teach across Years 7-12. The successful educator will deliver classroom Music as part of the CAPA program, supporting students to develop their practical, theoretical and creative skills across junior and senior secondary levels. Private instrumental lessons are delivered by specialist tutors, providing additional support for students alongside the classroom Music program. This position would suit a qualified Music Teacher who can confidently engage students across Years 7-12 and contribute positively to the College's broader creative and school community.
Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Music programs across Years 7-12, supporting students in practical, theoretical and creative areas of the curriculum.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and classroom practice across Music learning environments.

Communicate clearly with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

Collaborate with CAPA colleagues and specialist instrumental tutors to support a cohesive Music program.

Provide effective classroom leadership and contribute to the broader creative and co-curricular life of the College.
Requirements

Music: Applicants must be qualified and confident teaching Music across secondary year levels.

Faith Alignment: Applicants must demonstrate alignment with the Catholic ethos of the College.

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain accreditation with NESA.

Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential for this role.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE's onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
Salary and Relocation
The successful applicant will receive a salary of $92,000 - $133,000, dependent on experience.
Relocation assistance may be available, including potential support with moving costs and accommodation. Any relocation assistance will be discussed with the Principal following interview.
