Are you an experienced Family Law Legal Assistant looking to step into a leadership role while remaining hands on? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established boutique Family Law firm as their Legal Support Team Leader.
Working closely with the leadership team, you will continue to provide high-quality Legal Assistant support while mentoring and guiding the firm's Legal Assistants, Paralegals and junior support staff. This newly created position is ideal for someone who enjoys developing others, creating structure and fostering a collaborative team environment.
The Role
This is a hands-on position where you will balance your own Legal Assistant responsibilities with supporting the wider legal support team. You will be a key point of contact, helping ensure consistent processes, providing guidance and training, and assisting with the ongoing development of the team's support function.
- Providing Legal Assistant support
- Leading, mentoring and supporting Legal Assistants, Paralegals and junior support staff
- Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day questions, guidance and procedural support
- Assisting with onboarding and training new team members
- Regularly checking in with team members to provide support and help manage workloads.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant within Family Law
- Experience mentoring, training or supporting junior team members, either formally or informally.
