IE Engineer

Operations:

The following duties are required at the Hiroshima Plant, which manufactures electronic components for automobiles (centre displays, speedometers, etc.).

1) Lead and implement improvement work using IE methods.
2) Share information with the Global team
3) Manage and follow up the progress of cost improvement

Job description:

1) Lead and implement improvement work using IE methods.
Identification and analysis of items with large costs and improvement of efficiency using IE methods to reduce costs.
2) Information sharing to Global team
Develop and share the content of each indicator and improvement activity at the Hiroshima Plant with the Global Team.
Scrutinise the content that can be incorporated into the Hiroshima plant from the content of the Global team's activities, and plan and introduce content that is suited to the Hiroshima plant.
(3) Progress management and follow-up of cost improvements
The Hiroshima Plant will examine the content of improvements planned by each department, optimise the content, manage progress, and follow up as necessary.
 

Requirements

Skills/experience required: 

• Knowledge of IE and experience in its use.
• Leadership skills
• Data analysis skills
• Experience of improvement activities using the 5s

Other experience, etc. that you would like to have if possible:

• IE experience in an automotive parts company or an automotive company.
• Knowledge of production control systems and TPS
• Experience of working with overseas suppliers
• Experience of working overseas
