THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING
- Join a large, established organization responsible for delivering critical energy infrastructure projects
- Work within a project management organization overseeing capital projects across transmission and substation environments
- Partner with engineering, construction, project controls, estimating, supply chain, operations, safety, environmental, and other technical teams
- Manage multiple capital projects from initial planning and design through construction, commissioning, and closeout
- Join a highly collaborative environment with significant exposure to both internal stakeholders and external contractors
LOCATION
- Hybrid – 3 days per week in office or visiting project sites, 2 days remote
- Approximately 20% travel to project and work sites
- Site visits may require driving up to approximately 200 miles one way; mileage is reimbursed
- Must be comfortable walking active outdoor project sites with rough terrain, uneven ground, and hills
- PPE will be required during site visits

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage multiple projects from planning and design through construction, startup, commissioning, turnover, and closeout
- Own project performance across scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, risk, and stakeholder communication
- Lead cross-functional project teams consisting of engineering, construction, project controls, estimating, supply chain, EHS, QA/QC, operations, and external contractors
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, reporting, risk plans, procurement strategies, and execution plans
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget
- Lead project meetings, status reviews, kickoff meetings, and stakeholder communications
- Monitor project costs and schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, EcoSys, PowerPlant, Maximo, or similar platforms
- Support procurement, contracting, equipment selection, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities
- Conduct periodic site visits to understand project progress, coordinate with field teams, and address execution challenges
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, environmental requirements, quality, and project controls throughout execution
THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
- 4+ years of Project Management experience supporting capital, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
- Experience with electric utility transmission or substation projects is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of project scope, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, risk management, and construction execution
- Experience coordinating engineering, construction, contractors, vendors, project controls, and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling tools
- Exposure to financial/project controls platforms such as EcoSys, PowerPlant, Maximo, or similar systems
- Comfortable working in both office and active project-site environments
- Able to travel approximately 20% and drive to regional project sites as needed
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage matrixed project teams
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
