About the Role

The Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise infrastructure services across cloud, server, network and operational technology environments. The role is responsible for ensuring infrastructure platforms remain secure, resilient and aligned to business needs while contributing to infrastructure projects, continuous improvement initiatives and operational support.

Key Responsibilities -

• Design, implement, maintain and support enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and issues.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity and security to maintain stable and reliable services.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, technology upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Linux and associated infrastructure platforms.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and orchestration solutions using PowerShell and other tools.
• Manage infrastructure vendors and service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
• Support cybersecurity, vulnerability management, remediation and secure infrastructure practices.
• Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity capabilities.
• Contribute to infrastructure and cloud strategy, architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation, efficiency, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure infrastructure practices align with applicable security frameworks, compliance obligations and business risk requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, knowledge sharing and mentoring within the technology team.
• Participate in critical incident response and out-of-hours support when required.

About You

Mandatory-

• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure principles, technologies and operational practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to document and implement preventative solutions.
• Practical experience with server operating systems, infrastructure management and automation.
• Strong security mindset and experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and influence outcomes through expertise and collaboration.

Desirable -

• Experience supporting operational technology (OT) or industrial environments.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Experience with mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and secure infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code/automation practices.
• Experience working in manufacturing or critical infrastructure environments.
