An exciting opportunity is available with a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major water treatment plant upgrade in the Wellington region.
We're looking for a Site Engineer with hands-on experience in water treatment or wastewater projects, particularly the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and associated infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys working on site and is keen to develop their career within the civil infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
We're looking for a Site Engineer with hands-on experience in water treatment or wastewater projects, particularly the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and associated infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys working on site and is keen to develop their career within the civil infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage construction activities on site
- Support project delivery, planning, quality, and safety
- Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Experience in water treatment, wastewater, or similar infrastructure projects
- Hands-on installation and commissioning experience with mechanical equipment
- 2-3+ years experience on site
- Mechanical / Civil engineering (or related) qualification
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Based in New Zealand with the right to work here
