About the role:

The SCM – Medical and Dental Equipment (MDE) Specialist is responsible for providing high‑level supply chain, procurement, and inventory management expertise within the Medical and Dental Equipment portfolio. The role focuses on optimising SAP‑enabled supply chain processes and ensuring the effective management of MDE assets across their lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) processes related to medical and dental equipment procurement, maintenance cycles, and inventory management.
• Provide expert functional guidance in SAP MM, including configuration, testing, defect resolution, and process improvement for MDE supply chain operations.
• Collaborate closely with clinical, logistics, engineering, and procurement stakeholders to ensure accurate asset planning, purchasing, and sustainment.
• Develop and maintain materials master data, equipment master data, and associated documentation to meet compliance and operational requirements.
• Lead workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and process mapping to ensure alignment with business needs and SAP best practices.
• Analyse MDE supply chain performance metrics and recommend improvement strategies.
• Support integration activities between MM and other SAP modules such as Plant Maintenance (PM), Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), and Finance (FI).
• Provide guidance to junior team members and participate in knowledge‑sharing activities.
• Ensure adherence to governance, risk, audit, and compliance requirements related to medical and dental equipment management.
• Assist in change management, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement during new system rollouts or upgrades.
