Senior Manager Purchasing

Our client is a global Tier with a footprint that spans the global and has built up a strong reputation with the leading Automotive OEMs.
They supply connectivity products which is characterized by strict quality standards that require lightweight and durability at the same time.

The Senior Purchasing Manager position is newly created to help strengthen the division`s procurement capability while also supporting production and supply chain.

Responsibilities:

Management practice in procurement of raw materials (metal materials/forming materials) and parts/products from suppliers
1. analysis of customer demand and forecasts, and strategic planning and execution of appropriate procurement plans
2. execute accurate order placement in accordance with the production plan
3. inventory management operations to establish appropriate inventory (improvement of inventory health) 4.
4. negotiate with suppliers and material makers in each country / practice timely procurement / strengthen supply chain
5. improvement of on-time delivery rate and elimination of unpaid orders
6. report and discuss KPI to Managements / participate in SCM strategy development

Requirements

• Education: University graduate or higher (high school graduate is acceptable if you have similar work experience)
• Experience in People Management (more than 10 subordinates) as a Team Leader in the manufacturing industry (especially in the electronic components industry) (must have)
• Experience in planning procurement strategies
• Experience in procurement and production management (buyer/supply chain)
• We are looking for a person who can work flexibly and proactively in response to market changes and problems, and who can strongly demonstrate leadership.
• Languages: Japanese - native level (ability to interact in business and prepare documents)
• English - High intermediate level (TOEIC score of 700 or equivalent)
• PC skills (SAP/Microsoft Office [EXCEL, Word, Power Point] required)
