Solution Architect – Pre-Sales & Delivery

Emanate Technology is partnering with a large Australian technology organisation to recruit a Solution Architect to support complex solution design, pre-sales engagement, and delivery alignment across Defence and commercial markets.
This is a senior, customer-facing architecture role operating across local and international opportunities, supporting the growth of advanced technology solutions spanning Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, software platforms, and secure environments.

The Opportunity:
This is not a purely internal architecture role.
You will operate as part of a pre-sales and solution engagement team, helping shape customer solutions, support bids and tenders, and influence technical strategy across multi-domain projects.

The role combines:

• Solution Architecture
• Technical pre-sales
• Bid and proposal support
• Delivery alignment
• Customer engagement

You will work closely with growth teams, engineering leads, and customers to help define solutions that are commercially viable, technically robust, and deliverable.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement

• Partner with growth and bid teams to shape customer solutions
• Lead technical discovery workshops and customer engagements
• Develop solution architectures for tenders, proposals and bids
• Support technical demonstrations, POCs and workshops
• Present solutions to customers across Defence and commercial sectors
• Contribute to estimation, delivery planning, and technical risk management

Solution Architecture & Delivery

• Define architectures across applications, infrastructure, integration and security
• Translate customer requirements into scalable solution designs
• Support delivery teams with architectural guidance and governance
• Balance technical capability, commercial outcomes and delivery constraints
• Ensure alignment between customer requirements and implementation approach

Enterprise & Technical Leadership

• Establish architecture patterns, standards and reusable assets
• Contribute to improving architecture capability across the business
• Mentor senior engineers and technical teams
• Influence strategic technical direction across programs and engagements

About You
You are a customer-focused Solution Architect who enjoys operating across both technical and commercial conversations.
You will likely bring:

• Experience leading solution architecture across complex environments
• Strong background in pre-sales, bids, RFIs/RFPs and solution shaping
• Experience designing solutions across software, infrastructure and security domains
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
• Ability to influence outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience balancing architecture, delivery, cost and risk considerations

Highly Regarded

• DevSecOps and secure platform architecture experience
• Cybersecurity architecture exposure
• Experience in Defence or high-assurance environments
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of secure or restricted systems environments
