Commercial Analyst

We are partnering with a leading technology-driven business that is seeking a Principal Commercial Analyst to join its commercial leadership function. This is a highly visible role where you will combine strategic thinking, commercial insight and advanced analytical capability to influence key business decisions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape commercial strategy, identify growth opportunities and drive performance across multiple markets and revenue streams. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, translating complex data into clear recommendations that directly impact business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial performance analysis across markets, products and revenue streams.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
• Deliver executive-level reporting and performance insights for senior leadership.
• Partner with commercial and operational stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve performance.
• Develop analytical frameworks and reporting methodologies that enhance decision-making.
• Provide commercially focused recommendations that drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Support business planning, forecasting and performance reviews.
• Mentor and influence a wider analyst community, helping to raise analytical standards across the organisation.

About You:

You will likely possess:

• 3-5 years of experience in a commercial, strategy, consulting or finance-focused role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to structure complex business problems.
• Excellent commercial acumen and an understanding of revenue, profitability and performance drivers.
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, curious and solutions-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification desirable.
• Experience within technology, digital, eCommerce, travel or other fast-paced commercial environments would be advantageous.
